William G. Fuqua & James Milam Obituary, Cause of Death – Russellville Community Mourns Two Respected Leaders
The Russellville community is mourning the loss of two highly respected leaders whose dedication, service, and commitment left a lasting impact on generations of residents.
William G. Fuqua, former Circuit Judge and longtime industrial recruiter, passed away Thursday at the age of 95. Known for his decades of public service and leadership, Fuqua played an important role in the Russellville community through his work in the legal field and economic development efforts.
Shortly afterward, the community suffered another heartbreaking loss with the passing of James Milam, 84, who died early Friday morning. Milam served as Russellville School Board Chairman and previously held the position of Russellville City Attorney, earning respect for his commitment to education, public service, and the betterment of the community.
The deaths of Fuqua and Milam within hours of each other have brought deep sadness to Russellville, as residents remember two individuals who dedicated much of their lives to serving others. Both men were graduates of Russellville High School and went on to become influential figures whose leadership helped shape the community.
Friends, colleagues, and community members have expressed their condolences while reflecting on the many contributions Fuqua and Milam made throughout their careers. Their legacies of service, integrity, and dedication will continue to be remembered by those whose lives they touched.
